Punching the Bed

My mom told me this story recently, she's not much of a story teller so there's not much detail.

When my oldest sister was 6 or 7 years old (she is now 37), the 4 year old twins and my mother lived in a small farming town in Utah, nestled right against the mountain.

My sister kept complaining that someone was punching the bed from the underside in the middle of the night and it would wake her up. My mom would just tell her to go back to sleep every time.

One night, my mom said that my sister was screaming at the top of her lungs at like 2am for her to come get her. She ran into the room to find my sister standing on the bed crying hysterically.

My mom asked her what was wrong, she replied "someone is punching my bed".

My mom picked her up to take her to bed with her, while she was walking from the room she heard the mattress being hit. It freaked her out but she ignored it. For the next few months nothing happened but she'd get eerie feelings every now and then.

Some time later it started again. This time, my sister ran into my moms room, she didn't even have time to cry she darted to fast across the hall. My mom said that night she saw a dark figure follow her into the room and just sit there for awhile...then it was gone.

They moved shortly after that, and nothing ever happened in the new place.
