By The Tracks

I walk on train tracks near my property for walnuts and at times i puck up deer skeletons to make bone meal.
One day this year i was walking and i got this heart stopping fear that surged through me which stopped me in my tracks. I decided to stop to see what could have caused that sort of response.
I didn't see it at first, but ahead of me sitting next to the tracks was an extremely thin but tall humanoid creature. It had its back partially towards me but it was doing something with its arm. I stepped as quietly as possible off the tracks and into a drainage ditch so i could back out without being seen...when i did i saw it was poking at a dead deer with sickeningly long fingers.
I've no idea what it was, but i got the hell out of there...I've decided it was a hallucination...because if it wasn't, i be selling my home and moving far away
Any ideas?
It was a light brown/tan color, extremely thin(i could see every back bone/rib), i smelled something rotting but i assumed it was something a train hit
Fear...the entire time i was near it i felt like my blood was on fire...my only thought was to get away as fast as possible. I really can't explain why though, I've walked up on bears and didn't have this sort of reaction
Oh! It was tall, i imagine if it stood up it would have been the better part of 8 foot tall
