China Girl x2

I posted this in r/nosleep in a comment, because it was relevant to the topic. However, it is completely true, and I'm not bullshitting or making up a story. My SO's family lives in a huge house at the top of a hill - there's nothing behind it, and they have an amazing view in the front.

However, at night, it is a little creepy, and I should add: they don't believe in ghosts. None of them believe in spirits, the paranormal, even coincidences are shunned as "hippy" talk in that household. They often hear bumps along the walls, and once, a wok (they're Chinese) was thrown down some stairs that were being unused. No one was in the kitchen, no one was using the wok.

(Typical Asian parent reaction: more concerned with expensive wok being thrown than who threw it or the fact that no one was in the kitchen at the time.) That walkway has since been boarded up, yet the boards are always creaking and making noises.

Here's what I shared, on the topic of doppelgangers:

In my boyfriend's parent's house, the copy rarely has a form, but it mimics their youngest daughter's voice. It'll sound like her, coming from his room. We have all heard it, and we have all looked around the house for his little sister - who is rarely home. We never see the front of her, just the back, her long black hair and she's usually looking at her phone. She'll walk into a room and then we can hear her talking, and then all of a sudden she's not there anymore.

Most often we see her coming out or going into the bathroom - the water turns on, the toilet flushes, and then the door remains closed until someone says, "HEY WTF ARE YOU DOING IN THERE," opens the door to -- nothing. We can hear her texting, talking, using the bathroom, and then a few minutes later, the light is on and no one is in the room.

It's not my creepiest paranormal experience, but it is my most recent.
